History
Following the completion of several successful ventures in Victoria, Bellala purchased 188 Collins Street Hobart from the Commonwealth Government in June 2000 and immediately commenced an intense refurbishment program to return the complex to its former glory.
The original tower building was constructed in the 1970s and the podium buildings in the mid 1990s. Though the buildings had received some updates since construction, the complex required an extensive overhaul in order to reinvent itself.
188 Collins Street now boasts a 100 per cent occupancy rate, having created an A Grade commercial office facility which is a sought after address for both Government and private sector tenants.
Bellala expanded its commercial interest in Hobart by purchasing the open air car park at 177 Macquarie Street from Hobart City Council in December 2005 and Macquarie HouseĀ, 173 Macquarie Street Hobart, in December 2008.
Bellala continues to increase its confidence in and commitment to the City of Hobart.
