Green Building Fund Update
Bellala has now completed its Green Building Fund project which included the installation of new high efficiency chillers, gas boilers, variable speed drive motors and energy efficient lighting.
The Minister for Climate Change, Nick McKim, visited 188 Collins Street on Thursday 20 January 2011 and said that he is delighted that investments in sustainable buildings are already being made by some Tasmanian property developers and that this leadership should be applauded because these buildings reduce consumption, particularly in relation to energy use, and will help Tasmania achieve a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to at least 60 per cent below 1990 levels by 2050.
